I am Board Certified in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology/American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology. Clinical neuropsychology is a specialty field within clinical psychology, dedicated to understanding brain-behavior relationships, and clinical assessment of cognitive and behavioral functioning.
I am a clinical neuropsychologist in private practice and Neuropsychology Training Director at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles. I did my clinical psychology internship at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Sepulveda, CA. I completed my postdoctoral fellowship in Behavioral Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and a second postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. I did specialized training as a Clinical Fellow in Wada testing at UCLA. I earned my diplomate in Clinical Neuropsychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology/American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology in 1997. I have been on staff at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles since 1990 and served as Internship Training Director of the APA-Accredited Pre-Doctoral Clinical Psychology Internship for 7 years, as well as trained postdoctoral clinical fellows in Behavioral Medicine and Neuropsychology. I am a consultant on the Epilepsy Surgery team and Movement Disorders team and conduct behavioral analysis and testing in Interventional Radiology following standard intracarotid sodium methohexital injections in advance of neurosurgical interventions. In the capacity of Neuropsychology Training Director, I do clinical teaching, training and supervision of psychology doctoral-level students in the field of neuropsychology.
My clinical practice includes conducting Independent Medical Examinations in Neuropsychology, and BAP and MAF neuropsychological evaluations of retired National Football League (NFL) players. I am a consulting neuropsychologist to the Sports Concussion Institute.
